Often, the answers we seek lie behind well-asked questions…
Mapping a realistic career plan will take into consideration the full story and include questions of wellness, prosperity and life balance. The answers will create the solid foundation needed to grow your passions and clarify and respond to needs at different ages and stages. Old stories may need to be archived in order to grow new ones – ones that will draw on informed decision-making, increased self-esteem and measurable outcomes. Effective ways to sustain change are through active participation in the events in your life, belief in your ability to choose, and investment in some self inquiry.
Together, we’ll develop career plans, use assessment tools and provoke these questions:
What are my goals and inspirations? How can I interface my story in terms of where I have been and where I am going? What are my skills and abilities, opportunities and obstacles to achieving my desires? How can I best utilize career laddering, exploration and build out a solid, innovative portfolio? What about navigating career, love, family and emotional uncertainties amidst change?
We will also draw on tools of visual arts and non-verbal storytelling to enhance the discussion with possibility and creativity in the form of collage, art made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole and new media art, a genre that encompasses artworks created with technologies, resulting in cultural objects or social events and allowing for activism through the interactive nature of the media.
We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. ~ E.M. Forster

Bodywork for Personal Development
Deanne has extensive experience in energy-based care and is certified in Reiki (Usui), Zen Shiatsu, Therapeutic Touch and shamanic healing modalities in a practice that spans a dozen years. Her approach couples fluidly with narrative consultation, applying career theory and arts-integrated theory to produce solution focused results.
Our bodies hold memory, hold experience, even hold imagined experience. When we want to move, shift and transform or from time to time to get in touch with our potential, our creative force or a new direction, it can be a challenge to do on our own. I encourage the perspective of seeing with the eyes of the heart.
The desire is for a healthy balance and flow of ki or chi so that body and mind are connected and tuned in, better for coping with change and sustaining wellness.
