Collage

Because it’s fun to let your imagination run with scissors…

Creativity Through Collage

Mix: a room of makers + endless supplies of images, text and textured materials + personal guidance + group gallery showing = creative inspiration for all.

Map, craft and track images, text and multimedia materials into inspiration boards, sculpture and objects. These beautiful, wacky and clever works of art serve to reflect personal desires, project development, or to jump-start some stalled creative juices.

Collage has a long and distinguished history. Early collages started with the Japanese and Dutch, before it was popularized by Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso in the beginning of the 20th century. Since that time the technique has become distinctive in modern art.

A collage (French: coller, to glue) is art made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. A non-linear art form, collage work may include newspaper clippings, images, paint, artwork, photographs, and other multimedia materials attached to a piece of paper or canvas. No matter what you may do in collage, chances are it has been done before, but certainly not like you will do it!

What others have said:

I just took this workshop last night and it ROCKED. Anyone who is stuck, who wants some clarity, who wants to get (back) in touch with their creative spirit, or who just wants to take a few hours out to nurture themselves will benefit. I can’t recommend it highly enough! ~Vanessa

I have been working at my new job for a few months now. A new career path for me and one that incorporates all the things that I was looking for that I explored on the Collage workshop I did with you!!! Thank you for helping me on my new career path, Deanne.  ~Lara

Deanne had the perfect blend of taking the process seriously without intimidating people or being too serious.  She made the atmosphere relaxed, unpretentious and playful, yet there was still depth. She also created a safe space for sharing. Thanks for spreading your light! ~Jocelyn
